Big news arrives! Cando's "Maker" curtain wall "lights up" Xining.

Recently, Cando's photovoltaic curtain wall products were successfully implemented in the Xining project, turning the concept of "buildings as power plants" into reality. As the gateway city to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Xining boasts exceptional solar resources. However, its high-altitude, cold climate with strong winds—and the structural load limitations of some buildings—have placed stringent demands on photovoltaic products. This collaboration between the plateau's abundant sunshine and cutting-edge green architecture marks another groundbreaking achievement for Cando's photovoltaic technology, while also setting a new benchmark for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) development in Northwest China.
The Cando core team early on keenly recognized that scenario-driven development is the inevitable path for photovoltaic growth—only scenario-specific PV products can bring solar energy deeply into households, empower more industries, and further support the "Dual Carbon" initiative. That’s why, as early as 2014, Cando began laying out patents and technologies essential for scenario-oriented products such as busbar-free and lightweight modules—and successfully secured them. The world's first 210mm passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) heterojunction certification—and the world's first lightweight rigid module certification. 
The implementation of the Xining project is an extension of Cando’s scenario-based innovation philosophy, a testament to Cando’s research capabilities and technological strength, and also aligns closely with the region’s green development strategy.
When Cando's "Maker" curtain wall system is implemented, it achieves the dual benefits of architectural aesthetics and green energy generation, offering a variety of color options to complement diverse building styles. At the same time, it significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions—effectively turning urban spaces into an "airborne forest." Amidst the policy momentum spurred by Document No. 136 to promote distributed photovoltaic development, Cando's innovative approach provides replicable solutions for green electricity substitution in high-energy-consuming industries and paves the way for a transformative shift toward sustainable energy use in the construction sector.
